This typical 1930s modernist building is a classic example of architecture of its time. Gradually, the building was losing its charm and was in need of an overhaul.
With some of the most incredible views of Kelston, framing these was a key driver behind this project. Retaining the proportions and style of the modernist era, the building was externally insulated and re-rendered, the window layouts were updated to compliment the original style and the internals were completely updated to reflect modern living.
This project was worked on by Jonathan Wendzina whilst under the employment of Whitebox Architects. During this time Jonathan was involved with the design, planning, building regulations and detailing, while Whitebox Architects were ultimately responsible for this project.
